London Boat Show 2012 Event News

We enjoyed a very busy and productive show this year with enquiries and sales exceeding our expectations. We were pleased to showcase our products on stands with the Marine Manufacturing Showcase (Fig.1), Yamaha (Fig.2 and 3) and our recently appointed UK distributor, Superyacht Doc.

Cooney Events at the Show:

5th January Ð A lucky few were treated to an evening tour and dinner at the House of Commons with the senior Sunseeker team.

6th January Ð Alan Priddy launched his team and boat for their round the world challenge with help from our stand.

10th January Ð We hosted the Marine Business Support Surgery Day with MAS, SEMTA and I-NET. This event attracted a lot of trade business to the stand and created some good opportunities to pursue funding for future projects and more.

11th January Ð Our major and much talked about networking event, the Trade and Press drinks reception went really well. Major OEMÕs contacts came across to the event and were valued visitors.

Another success on the night saw our apprentice Lee Stapleton presented with a certificate by John Hayes (Fig. 4), the Minister of State for Education, at the first Marine industry apprenticeship graduation awards. Congratulations Lee!

12th January Ð We raised £250 for the Riders for Health Charity with a Drinks and Relaxation Evening. A late show finish, our stand massages were received well with our poor Masseuse Pamela working non-stop 6.30-9pm!

Visitors at the Show:

We had some very high profile visitors to the stand including Nick Knowles (TV presenter), various MPÕs and senior civil servants, the Business Minister, Mark Prisk, John Hayes Minister for education, Skills and lifelong Learning and John Cridland, Director General of the CBI.

To see John CridlandÕs video interview from our stand go to www.cbi.org.uk/uk/media-centre/news-articles/2012/01/in-pictures-john-cridland-at-the-2012-london-boat-show/

Plus of course all of the major and minor boat builders, UK and International!

Check out the online daily show news for some of the mentions the stand received during the show, www.londonboatshow.com/2012/press/boat_show_news.aspx

October 2011 - Cooney Fabrication moves into new facility

Cooney have acquired a new larger facility in Swanwick to expand the Cooney Fabrication operation on the South Coast. The facility in Park Gate, Swanwick, doubles the amount of usable space from the original factory location, enabling continues expansion of the business.

Large investment placed into the new facility with a continued improvement program, will combined with the skills and technology already on offer, ensures that we can continue to handle our customers quality requirements, efficiently and cost effectively.

Cooney Fabrication offers a wide range of key engineering and fabrication skills for the manufacture of marine products. Working in stainless steel, aluminium and other exotic materials the quality of work and service is unsurpassed.

Synonymous with excellence of design and manufacture we are increasingly the first choice in applications where quality matters.

The new factory address is Cooney Fabrications Ltd, Unit 15, Park Gate Business Centre, Chandlers Way, Swanwick SO31 1FQ

Cooney Marine Presence at the festival De La Plaisance Cannes Sept 2011

Cooney Marine took the opportunity to visit a number of our customers at the Cannes Boat Show.

As the majority of stainless marine items that we produce actually end up in the region it proved very interesting to see our product in use in this environment.

As well as looking at the existing market product, which gave a very good view of our quality and design strength to our customers, it was very interesting to view the new designs and requirements being driven by the superyacht sector, which we have a great deal of experience with.

It was very pleasing to see the strength of the British brands at the show all with a broad range of product; we are looking forward to returning in future years.

Show Success!

28-09-2009

Cooney Marine took the unusual step of not directly exhibiting at the 2009 SBS, instead supported their UK distributor Golden Arrow who handle all Simpson Product retail sales.

The Cooney Team took turns on the very impressive Golden Arrow stand to offer expert advise to customers to aid Golden Arrow. This ensured the balance of the team had time to meet with all key customers without the pressure of being needed on our stand and along with the visits to other new potential customers this has lead to a great many new enquires. Overall this has been one of the most successful shows we have attended in many a year.
